Chigiri Kokuzoku --Village hidden in the Mist--

Name: Chigiri Kokuzoku 'Kozu'

Age: 12

Personality: Kozu's naturally increased heart rate is a strain on his body; causing him to be lethargic when not in battle situations. He avoids physical activity outside of battle as much as possible; going so far as to sit on the dirt rather than stand when waiting. However; when in battle, the natural increase in heart rate allows his blood to pump faster, thereby allowing him to surpass his natural limits.

Appearance: Chigiri Kokuzoku or 'Kozu' weights approximately 99lbs, and stands exactly five feet tall; when and if he stands. Starting from top to bottom; Kozu has short Dark-red spiky hair which constantly seems to lean forward, even if his fingers run through it. His half dark-blue, half dark purple eyes are always slightly closed and stand out from the dark red of his hair. Despite having to inflict pain upon himself to draw blood and thus train, Kozu seemed to keep a constant smile. This is because he tends to try to see the brighter side of things, believing happiness to be the purpose of life. On the other hand, though, it can be occasionally misinterpreted with a smile of insanity from the constant pain. His most common apparel is a long blood-red jacket, detailed with the ANBU tattoo marking on the back to show his aspiration to one day join the ANBU. Along with the pockets along the outside, the jacket also has many hidden pockets for Senbon. Unless the weather calls for it; Kozu tends not to wear a shirt underneath it, as the wet and foggy nature of the Village hidden in the mist would only cause it to become damp and uncomfortable, where as fog on skin is a quite pleasant feeling. His pants are dark-black with a blood-red ANBU symbol traveling down the side of his right leg. A bit longer and baggier than most pants; Kozu tries to make sure his clothes are loose fitting to give maximum freedom of movement. The exposed parts of his arms, as well as his full legs, are wrapped in a white bandage; this is used to soak up his own blood during battle, allowing him to keep it close, and not have to worry about wasting chakra to keep it following him when he moves from one spot to another quickly. Black sandals cover the excess that his pants to not, and are no different that most other's generic sandals. Although not noticeable unless close up; Kozu's entire body is covered with tiny stab wound scars from his Senbon. These scars mainly cover his hands, wrists, and chest; though they are hardly noticeable even by touch. Because of the blood that flows through him; Kozu's skin is extremely vibrant and almost seems to glow.

History: Long before Kokuzoku was born, there was a once great clan by the name of Chigiri. Each member of the clan was of high stature and great importance throughout the village hidden in the mist. Completing most of the high ranking missions, as well as accompanying others on lower level missions; the Chigiri clan was noted by most as single handedly boosting the village’s profit and wealth to the highest it had been in years. Though an unexpected turn had suddenly come. Returning from a common assassination mission, the leader of the clan had appeared to come down with an illness, causing him to turn violent at random times. Greatly confused by the seemingly deteriorating mind of their once great leader; the clan's medical team went to work on him. As is the custom of the Chigiri clan, six of the doctors fused their own blood with their leaders’ with the intent to remove his contaminated blood and replace of with their excess blood. The process was not a success, as the problem was not a poison as they had conceived, but rather a disease. Not noticeable at first; the doctors later preformed the same process on other patients, further spreading the hidden disease like wildfire. In time, it would corrupt the host's mind, destroying the perception of right and wrong among other things. Over a short time nearly all of the clan was exposed to the virus. It was then that Kokuzoku's pregnant mother gave him life. Six years later, after the Chigiri had become distant from the rest of the village; a plan began circulating among those infected with the disease; the entire clan would give it's life and it's blood to their leader, allowing him to slaughter every soul on the island, and eventually the world. The virus was not passed during birth, so all children were killed for their blood. Kokuzoku's mother was infected as well, and had planned on killing him herself. Once he had realized what was happening; Kozu's father, leader of the ANBU, tried to subdue his wife. Her rage was too relentless, and Kozu's father was forced to kill his wife by piercing her with Senbon. Though her death was instant, the young eyes of Kozu had still witnessed the act. His insane plan now beginning to unfold; the Chigiri clan slaughtered itself with an almost instant wave of suicide. Houses and streets now painted crimson, Kozu and his father were the last remaining in the way of the clan leader. Kozu watched innocently from his doorway as his father and former clan leader battled to the death. Clips of the epic fight burn in his mind even to this day. The two were evenly matched in the sense of controlling blood; but without combining it with his own, Kokuzoku's father could not fully control it, and was thus outmatched. Saddened that it was his only option, Kozu's father pierced himself in the heart, falling backward into the lake of blood. Shortly thinking he had won, the clan leader's dreams of mindless slaughter were cut short, as the pierced body lying before him began to dissolve. In his final jutsu; Kozu's father increased the friction between blood cells, causing the blood to turn to a fine mist, killing them both. Even after witnessing the death of his father and mother, as well as his clan; Kozu began his mindset happiness being the main purpose of life. Though some fear that he has lost his mind due to the experience, and others fear he may still have the disease that killed his clan; Kozu still raises the spirit's of most people around him with his cheery yet lazy attitude. He does not however want to be recognized by the community, and only aspires to become a member of the ANBU as his father was.

Other: Kozu is most often seen with a Senbon in his mouth (Similar to that of Genma) Although instead of being able to use it as a projectile, it mostly just ends up pricking his tongue on accident or flying a few feet only to fall to the ground.
